AgroEcology Fund
The AgroEcology Fund (AEF) is a multi-donor fund committed to supporting and encouraging the established practices of local farmers and their communities globally. It aims to sustain viable food systems, promote the economic well-being of small farmers and their communities, and address climate change. It links organizations and movements in South America, Asia, and Africa to advance agro-ecological solutions locally and regionally. With the guidance of an informed, on-the-ground advisory board, the Fund supports some of the most effective actors in the field of agro-ecology in the Global South.
Coordinated by New Venture Fund, the Fund is currently supported by a diverse group of international grantmakers including New Field Foundation, The Christensen Fund, and Swift Foundation. While each organization has its own focus and mission, they are united by their interest in agro-ecological approaches to agriculture and innovative practices rooted in knowledge that has been gained over centuries.
