As an all female led and managed organization, the YWCA SL aims to address discrimination, gender inequality and the subordinate status of Sierra Leonean women and girls through capacity building, advocacy, socio-economic empowerment, networking and collaboration. It is a membership organization with its headquarters in Freetown and branches throughout Sierra Leone.

This grant supports the collaboration between YWCA SL and the Sierra Leone Network on the Right to Food (SiLNoRF) to facilitate advocacy training for leaders of rural women’s groups on land rights; organize public meetings and stakeholder dialogues in three locations; and use print, digital, and radio media to share information on rural women’s land rights.
