2010 | $27,500 | 1 year |
With this grant, WEDO and its Senegalese partner, ENDA, continue to develop the training of local authorities and women leaders in sustainable energy and adaptation to climate change. Specifically, the grant enables an energy needs assessment of rural households in two communities, and training in energy project management for 10 rural women from five organizations. |
2008 | $20,000 | 1 year |
This grant enables WEDO to implement a pilot project intended to connect the experiences of rural women in Senegal to national policy addressing climate change. WEDO is partnering with Dakar-based environmental organization, ENDA to organize a caravan that will travel through rural areas of Senegal to educate and mobilize rural communities on global warming and climate change. |
