For more than 40 years Landesa has worked to secure land rights for the world’s poorest people, chiefly rural people who live on less than two dollars a day. Landesa partners with developing country governments to design and implement laws, policies, and programs concerning land that provide opportunity, further economic growth, and promote social justice. Among their programs, Landesa’s LandWise aims to equip professionals with the resources they need to improve the lives of women around the world with particular respect to women’s land rights.

This grant enables the translation and publication of two practice guides into French . for use by Francophone countries in Africa and elsewhere. The two guides, Women’s Land Tenure Framework Analysis: Land Rights and Women’s Land Tenure Framework Analysis: Inheritance, are tools for practitioners working with women’s land rights.
