The Centre for Accountability and Rule of Law - Sierra Leone (CARL-SL) is an independent organization of human rights and civil society activists who promote accountability and the rule of law in post-conflict Sierra Leone. CARL works with local councils to enforce transparency and encourage citizens’ participation in local government. It advocates for reforms in Sierra Leone’s judicial system, violence-free elections, voter education, effective public finance management, and access to justice for vulnerable groups including victims of sexual
and gender-based violence.

This grant enables representatives of New Field’s partners in Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia to take part in a five-day financial management training in Freetown, Sierra Leone, coordinated by CARL-SL.
